Dashboard showing team members with viewer and editor roles

Team Guide: How to Invite Teammates and Clients in statpx

Sharing analytics with a colleague or client shouldn't mean handing over your login. The Team page in statpx lets you invite people to a specific site by email, assign them a role, and let them see the dashboard on their own account — no shared passwords, no screenshots emailed back and forth.

Viewer vs Editor Roles

Every invite is assigned one of two roles:

Pick viewer by default and only grant editor to people who genuinely need to configure the site, not just look at it.

Sending an Invite

From the Team page on a site, sending an invite takes three steps:

  1. Enter the invitee's email address.
  2. Choose viewer or editor.
  3. Optionally, extend the same invite to other sites you own, so one accepted invite grants access across a whole portfolio of sites at once.

An invite email goes out immediately with a secure link. Each site supports up to 10 team members, and you can send as many pending invites as you need up to that limit.

What Invited Members See

When someone accepts an invite, they get their own statpx login (or link the invite to an existing account) and see the site appear in their own dashboard, scoped exactly to the role you assigned. They never see your password, your billing details, or any other site you haven't explicitly shared with them. This makes Team the right way to give an agency, freelancer, or internal stakeholder ongoing access — compare that to a one-off look with the public share link in Settings, which is better suited to a read-only link you can hand to anyone without an account at all.

Revoking is instant. Removing a team member's access takes effect immediately — no shared credentials to rotate, no delay while a password reset propagates.

Managing and Revoking Access

The Team page lists every member and pending invite for the site, along with their role. From there you can change a member's role at any time (e.g. promote a viewer to editor once they've proven trustworthy with the configuration) or remove them entirely, which instantly revokes their access to that site's data. Pending invites that haven't been accepted yet can also be canceled from the same list if you invited the wrong address or the invite is no longer needed.

The Bottom Line

The Team page is the difference between "here's my password, please don't break anything" and a proper, revocable, role-scoped invite. Default new invites to viewer, reserve editor for people who actually configure alerts and goals, and use the Team page's member list to review and prune access on a regular basis — especially after a project or contract ends.
